We are Vicina people, a community of courageous youth and supportive adults, from all walks of life, but with one thing in common: our love of our neighbors, regardless of their race, religion, age, social status, or political affiliation.
You are an organization that can either host a volunteer event or can provide support to the Vicina people to serve the community. You can also become the sponsor of National Vicina Day.
You are an adult who is passionate about serving the community and teaching our next generation. You set a good example by volunteering your time and providing resources to help youth leaders to learn how to serve. A Vicina mentor needs to work with youth leaders to organize at least one community service event per calendar year.
You are a youth who is passionate about serving the community by giving your time and talent. You are an organizer who can rally your friends and classmates, teens like yourself to contribute. You may not have money but you have endless energy and compassion for the poor, the needy, and the children. A Vicina leader needs to volunteer at least 20 hours and participate in organizing one community service per calendar year.
You are born to serve and you just go to where you are needed. You can join a group or do so individually. You can also advance a valuable cause by sharing your experience with the world through social media. A Vicina advocate needs to volunteer at least 10 hours per calendar year.
