Outdoor Game Time

Hello, my name is Aidan Ye and I am a sophomore at Westlake High School. Recently, through personal experience with my sister and talking to friends, I realized that many young children, due to the pandemic, are stuck indoors.

This leads to a variety of problems including degrading eyesight, obesity, depression and anxiety. I wanted to provide a safe, fun, and exciting outdoor place for children to hangout, exercise, and meet new friends.

Welcome to Outdoor Game Time.

Outdoor Game Time is a chance for your children to get outside of the house. Meet new friends as you run, play games, and experience the outdoors. Each FREE one hour session is run by high school volunteers as they play outdoor games with your kid(s)

Each session begins with a lap around the local elementary school, Barton Creek Elementary; the address is hyperlinked. With a distance around the school of about 400 meters, this is a good warm-up to get your kids moving. Afterwards, each week there will be a game theme decided before you come.

Games include:

  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Football
  • Dodgeball
  • Four Square
  • Frisbee
  • Kick Ball
  • Much much more

After one more lap around the school, we will call it a day.

During winter break it will be twice a week at 3-4:30PM on Saturdays.

We do require masks and provide proper sanitation stations.

Parents are welcome to stay, look after your kid, or start your own pick-up games.

We will see you there!
